Gah! I’m addicted and holding myself back from giving everything an oil rubbed bronze finish. Â The two lucky (or 5 if you are an optimist) contestants were that mirror that I painted blue last year and our white couch’s legs.
When I painted that mirror blue, I said that I would love it for a year before changing it, oops. Â This particular bright blue, or maybe just the rustic finish, just doesn’t fit into our home’s palette anymore (which I’ll definitely share, soon). Â And those silver metal legs looked cold. Â And made the room look cold and cheap, too.
After a couple, thin coats of spray paint, they look rich and warm and add so much to the living room. Â “So much” is subjective, of course.
Oil rubbed bronze is not black, but it’s not brown, either.  It has so much depth and this spray paint leaves a great shimmery, metallic look that looks chic and warm.  But you don’t have to take my (or LeVar Burton’s) word for it:
oooh pretty. i like the black vs. the not black. well done.
Its so beautiful and classy. Maybe next year when I come I can photograph all your rooms? I love house decor photography

The room looks FAB! Don’t you love spray paint? Its such a cheap, quick fix. Instant gradification. Love the window treatments too!
I want a mirror by my front door. Sigh. And I love those little legs laying there on the couch.
