Things that bug–

1.  When people write “letters” to inanimate objects. i.e. winter, school, the weather, etc.   Ugh, this has QUICKLY become my number one pet-peeve.  You know what I’m talking about and you know who you are. I was especially disgusted when Minute Maid, yeah…the company (!) had their facebook status:

“Dear Summer, it’s cold. And though it’s easier to keep our OJ chilled in these temps…please come back soon, we miss you! XO, Minute Maid”

2.  Speaking of the food network, how “Challenge” is ALWAYS cakes now.  Teen cakes.  Princess cakes.  Bridge cakes.  Rugrats cakes.  Ghostbuster cakes.  Safari cakes.  Fake cakes.  Garden cakes.  President of the United States cakes.  This is me changing the channel every time.
3.  When people drive in the far right lane on the highway when there is merging traffic coming on.  Ahhh!!!!  Now, I am probably the most paranoid driver out there, but man, I wish they would MOVE OVER a lane when there are cars trying to get on.
4.  Utah drivers in general.  Sorry peeps, you are NOT good at driving.  In fact, I have been all over this country and you are the worst at driving.  Maybe it is because you think you can cut someone off while talking on your cell because where you are going is more important and we are in Utah, so they have to forgive you.  But, c’mon.  C’moooooooooonnnn now.
5.  People that own a fancy schmancy camera and suddenly consider themselves a “photographer” and maybe even start a business.  This site shares my pain.  Psst…My sister, an actual photographer, just launched her site in case you need a good reference.
I don’t need to make this list an even 10.  That would be cliche anyway.  Happy Thursday!

I’ve got to disagree with you about GLEE. While I miss the show-stopping musical numbers before the first commercial break, I appreciate that the most popular show on television used its platform for a good greater than entertainment. I do not think they did a great job of discouraging teen drinking in last week’s episode, but I love the ongoing urgency to address bullying in schools, especially when it comes to gays. With the teen suicide rate as high as it is, we need as many outlets as possible preaching equality and respect.

Oh, Julie, I am so with you! If you add “people that say they don’t use the Lord’s name in vain but then saying/typing “OMG” and then justifying ‘Well to ME it means ‘Oh my gosh!’ then our lists would be almost identical!

If feel like you took the words out of my mouth with #2, 3, and 8. Last week I decided I was over “fashion bloggers”. I don’t care what you wore today.. I really don’t! I am in support of the ‘modest fashion blogs’ but it seems lately they are just at mediocre copy of each other. The next time I want to be inspired by fashion, I think I will try to go closer to the source.

I didn’t know anyone felt the same way I did about Glee. I don’t understand when people that supposedly have the same values as me watch a show that is so anti- our values. “But I like the singing!” Really? How about attending/renting a real musical, with truly talented singers in it? Rent something old but good like “Hello Dolly!” with one Ms. Barbara Streisand in it. And hasn’t the same premise- a High School where students that don’t fit the status quo go against the majority to become the real winners- already been done?

And yes, everyone I know seems to be starting a photog business. As for your driving concerns, you’ll get there girl… there are crazy drivers everywhere, and I’m sure being in a car wreck was really scary. But you’ll get there, I promise! The trick with the Utards is driving as fast as them when merging in with them. All other places +5 above the speed limit seems to be the norm, but in UT +10 is the speed norm. -Jessica Christensen

This post totally made me crack up. I read the Daybook too; actually, I try not to read it because she kind of bugs me. She is great at putting outfits together, but that’s it. Maybe I’m just old, but I can’t relate to her at all.

I have to say that drivers in Grover Beach, California pretty much suck it, too. I have to have a lot of patience on the road.

Can I add another one to your list? Bloggers who start sentences with “Oh” It drives me ka-razy!

i HAD to comment on this. hope you don’t mind :)

i completely agree ON EVERYTHING. anne burrell… shudder. glee- disappointing. fashion blogs make me feel awful so therefore, i am starting to avoid. i don’t need to have a (knotted) belt around my waist to be considered presentable. i have at least 3 near deaths experiences if i drive anywhere between bountiful and provo. and the camera thing is hilarious.

by the way- your blog is awesome, you two are adorable, and oh so talented.

hahaha. first of all, that’s my sister (amy) that commented last. i’m glad we share the same ideas. and i have to admit i did one post about my week of clothing but it’s now stopped and i’m moving onto other things. thanks for the rant. i’m glad i’m not alone in most (and by most i mean all. seriously for challenge, what’s with the host too, i miss the other guy even though he’s now a judge) of these things. oh and something that bugs me(and this is totally random) is people who comment on others blogs and then are like “oh check out my blog”. you don’t have to check out my blog. just enjoy the comment (or not, that’s cool too). but i will continue to check yours out. rock on!
