1.  I gave into my summer fever and my hair caught some light last night at Salon 21 with Stacie.  I almost canceled 4 times because I was so nervous but, turns out, I love it.  (And I loved talking about The Bachelor, The Kardashians and how Jon Gosselin is now a Pennsylvania construction worker while getting it done).  

2.  Yesterday afternoon we met up with a bunch of Chris’s high school friends for lunch at Pei Wei.  What a reunion!  I had not met any of them, but they were all so friendly and funny.  The food was — wow — delish.  The people that own P.F. Changs started this place and it is all the same tasty food except fast (kinda like Bajio-ish).   MMMmmm.  I have been talking about starting one since we went.  That place would be a gold mine anywhere.  

3.  Here, Greta is tossed over Chris’s shoulder.  AKA, the only place she can be still and happy.  Greta was all over the place.  Luckily, one other couple brought two of their little ones and she was occupied going back and forth between them for the most part.  She definitely wanted no business with her highchair or the cheese, oranges, and ravioli we brought for her to eat.  She wandered over to the door and the window and checked out the broom propped up in the corner.  Chris and I played tag team between eating, conversing and chasing her around.  I felt so much better when Chris’s friend, Dustin said, “From 12-18 months, kids are unstoppable they are so curious.”  Chyeah.

4.  My fortune:  “You will never need to worry about a steady income.”  Talk about a feel-good-fortune cookie.  I showed Chris.  He tossed his hands in the air and said, “Sweet!  I am quitting my job!”
